Telemedix Health Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 2025

Telemedix Health (“Telemedix,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our products and services, including our website, mobile applications, telemedicine platform, and SMS/text messaging services. We manage patient information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the rules of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Information We Collect

When you use Telemedix services, we may collect identity data such as your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, and delivery address. We also collect personal health information (PHI) including medical history, symptoms, prescriptions, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Financial information such as payment card details and insurance information may also be collected, and is protected through encryption and secure processing. In addition, we gather technical data such as cookies, device identifiers, browser type, and network logs to improve your user experience and maintain platform security.

How We Collect Information

We collect information directly from you through intake questionnaires, telemedicine visits, prescription notifications, SMS or email communications, and customer support interactions. Information may also be collected automatically through cookies and device analytics when you use our applications or website.

Why We Process Personal Data

We process your personal data primarily to provide safe and effective care. This includes diagnosing and treating health conditions, prescribing medications, notifying you when prescriptions have been sent to your pharmacy, confirming appointments, and delivering follow-up care. We also use your data to process payments, manage your account, and improve our services. With your separate consent, we may also use your information to send marketing or promotional communications.

Use of Third-Party Services

To support our services, we may use trusted third-party service providers such as messaging platforms, payment processors, and pharmacy or laboratory partners. These providers act on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect your information in accordance with HIPAA. Telemedix does not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to unaffiliated third parties.

SMS/Text Messaging Privacy Policy

With your consent, Telemedix may send SMS or text messages for medical purposes, such as appointment reminders, prescription notifications, and follow-up care. Standard message and data rates may apply, and message frequency may vary. You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP, or request assistance by replying HELP or contacting us directly. Standard SMS is not encrypted and may not be fully secure.

Telemedix will only send marketing or promotional text messages if you provide separate and explicit consent. Marketing consent is optional and not required to receive care.

Data Storage and Security

Your personal data is stored securely within the United States and is subject to HIPAA protections. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including SSL/TLS encryption during transmission, secure data storage, and access limited to authorized personnel. All subcontractors with access to PHI are required to follow the same restrictions that apply to Telemedix.

Your Rights

As a patient, you have the right to access and obtain a copy of your health and billing records, to request corrections or amendments, and to request restrictions on the use or disclosure of your information. You may also request that we communicate with you by alternative means or at alternative locations. You have the right to receive an accounting of certain disclosures of your health information, and to revoke prior authorizations for disclosure except where information has already been used. If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you have the right to file a complaint without fear of retaliation.

Breach Notification

In the event of a breach of your protected health information, Telemedix will notify you in accordance with HIPAA and applicable law.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made in a material or adverse way, we will post a notice on our website and update the effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
